We welcome parents into RIS believing we are partners in the education of your children. Research shows that for every child to reach his/her potential we need to establish genuine partnership between home and school. When parents and teachers share agreed goals then the foundation for a rich educational career is firmly laid.
We provide a variety of opportunities and initiatives throughout the year for positive parental communication aimed at enhancing and strengthening the parent relations.
♦ A welcome letter along with an orientation at the beginning of the year is done to introduce the class teacher to the parents and to outline certain policies of the school and other class procedures.
♦ “Share your child with us” questionnaire is answered by the parents and returned to the class teacher; this way the parent gives the teacher an insight into the child’s likes and dislikes.
♦ Communication through the school website (current news or upcoming events) ensures that parents are aware of what is happening in school.
♦ A parent teacher meeting/open house is held once a term. This helps the parents to interact with the teacher and address any concerns they may have regarding their child.
♦ Positive calls are made once a month to the parents to convey something positive about their child; be it their good behaviour or a sincere effort made in any area.
♦ The School Diary is used as a means of communication both by the parent and the teacher to address any immediate concern.
♦ A monthly Newsletter which showcases the events of the month along with the topics covered in the various subjects is sent to the parent.
♦ Parent Executive Council
♦ Parent Class Representatives
♦ Orientation Programme
♦ Social opportunities at school – Concerts, Sports Day, Musical Mornings etc.
