Primary Sports Day – Go Green
Rajagiri International School celebrated its 2nd Annual Sports Day for the Primary Section on 18th February 2010.The theme chosen was GO GREEN – Sports for Environment. The sports day flagged off with the Inter House march past competition by the four houses Dates , Dunes , Oases and Palms. Our enthusiastic torch bearers ran forward promoting the message of fair play, cooperation and harmony. The Green Choir, Mass Drill by the boys and Aerobics by the girls – showed the grit and determination of our children in spreading the message of Go Green. The splendid performance by our boys of Grade 1, 2 & 3 , who took us to the greatest height with their amazing Human Pyramid Feat, received a wonderful applause from the enthusiastic crowd.
The theme based novelty races – Planet pals, Budding Earth Enthusiast, Green Brigade, Save the Earth, and Clean up Programme – added to the Go Green charm of the day. The Parent Race and friendly Tug of War between the parents and teachers brought out the team spirit in our wonderful parents and teachers. It was the day for the Dates House as their proud team captain Daniel Jacob , along with the House Mistress Mrs. Shanti Venkatraman and their team members received the All Round Trophy, amidst thunderous applause and cheer.
